The cool Park in St. Louis

A few years ago in St. Louis my family went to a really cool park that was indoor and outdoor. The huge park was the most amazing thing! My whole family was going there because it was known around the city for being an awesome place to play at! My whole family and my grandma went out there on a sunny afternoon while we were on vacation. When we pulled up I could not believe how massive it was! It went inside a huge 3 story building, and it continued to go outside of the building to! I knew that it was going to be an awesome day!
The outside was made of parts such as old pieces of metal and iron. And the inside was even better! There were caves and fake trees and lots of other stuff that you could run around in! The caves all had small holes in the sides of them, and each one led you to a different room! There was even a random tunnel in the side of the wall, and it took me into a vent in the top of the building! You could just run around and climb into things! In this place I never got bored, there was always something else to explore! One of the best parts though was the outside part! You could climb a whole bunch a different stairways to get to a big plane at the very top of the building, and once you got there you could climb around the old plane! And on the outside of the outside part there was a huge castle looking wall that you could climb on!
My family spent the rest of the day at the park because everybody was having an awesome time! So if you like to explore, run around, and have fun you should go to the big park in St. Louis!

What Dogs Think About Humans
Shiloh (My Dog) – yaaawnn! What time is it? (Gets up to go into kitchen) Only 12:00! That means I only got 20 hours of sleep! Those humans, always making so much noise when the get up to have breakfast! (Walks back to lie on her pillow).

Mom- Shiloh! Come down here so you can go outside!

Shiloh-(Gets up to go downstairs) At least they let me outside so I can run around and talk to the dog next door! (Walks outside to meet dog)

Dog next Door – (dog yawns) I can’t believe what my owners did today! They forgot to feed me!

Shiloh- My humans haven’t fed me either, there probably going to feed me when I go inside, but its probably not going to be hamburgers. It’s never hamburgers!

Dog next door-My owners never feed me hamburgers either. They always have steak, hamburgers, chicken, fish, and turkey! But I never ever get any, not even a tiny bite!

Dad-Shiloh time to come in!

Shiloh- (turns to dog next door) Well see you later!

Dog next door – Bye

Shiloh- Well I wonder what they gave me for food, (Walks to the door to go in).

Dad- (dumps dog food into bowl) There you go, some nice tasty dog food for you!

Shiloh-No hamburgers again! I can’t believe it! I think I’ll just skip breakfast this morning. (Turns to go lie on pillow) I think I’m just going to go back to sleep so this day isn’t a total loss.

Brother- Shiloh! I have your bone, come and get it!

Shiloh- I’m not going to chase that bone! That means I would have to get up off my pillow to go and chase it!
Brother- Come on Shiloh, come get your bone!
Shiloh- I don’t even want my bone right now!
Brother- Come on Shiloh why don’t you come get your bone, you love chewing on your bone! There must be something wrong with you, I think I’ll go have dad take you to the vet!
Shiloh-(Dives off pillow and sprints to get her bone) Alright give me the bone! I am not going to the vet!
Sister- Shiloh! Come here so I can pet you!
Shiloh- (Drops bone to get bone) Well I guess since they pet me a lot, humans can be pretty nice, even if the don’t give me hamburgers for breakfast!
Mom- Come on everybody! Were going to be late for the party (runs out to the car with stuff for a party)!
Shiloh- Finally they leave! Now I can just lie down on my pillow the rest of the day and sleep. Those humans don’t like sharing all that meat they have, but at least they let me sleep a lot!

My Trip to Florida

My Trip to Florida

I was so excited! We had won a trip to Florida! Me and my family were just about ready to board are flight that would take us there. My dad had won the trip on a radio contest, the contest was whoever name a song that was played could would when a trip to Florida, and my dad won! “Please board the flight to Florida“ the man on the microphone said, this trip was going to be amazing!
The plane was an awesome plane! In the contest we also got first class seats! I looked out the window at all of the houses and fields that were below us. I could not wait until we get there! If only I knew what was going to happen!
When are plane landed we got a bus that took us to our hotel! It was massive!! It was only a few miles from the beach and it was like a big condo! Everybody in my family got there own bed to sleep in every night. Are hotel also has its own little kitchen and sink that we can use for our trip! ‘’This is awesome’’ my brother said as he jumped onto his bed and started jumping from bed to bed. I started to unpack my stuff and then my mom came in and told me that tomorrow was going to be a great day to go to the beach so that’s where we were going to go tomorrow! I hopped in bed to get some sleep-tomorrow was going to be a big day!
I woke up to the sound of the rain against my window. What? Today was supposed to be a great day for swimming! I went into the living room of are condo. My dad was watching TV. He said ‘look at that” and on the news it showed the beach and our hotel in the background. And the headline was- beginning of hurricane hits Florida overnight! I also figured out that this was only the edge of the storm, and when the storm actually hit it was going to be a level 3 hurricane! We had to get out of hear quick! But the next headline was- airports in Florida shut down! My dad then said “I rented a car so we could get out of hear but if we want to make it to the place where we need to go we have to leave NOW!
Everybody in my family packed are bags and hopped into the rental car. The rain was coming down really really hard!! We had all of are stuff packed into the trunk of the car and drove towards the beach! “Why are we going towards the beach” I finally asked! “Because I thought you guys wanted to swim today” my dad joked. But he never told me why we were going to the beach; he only drove out there in silence. After awhile he turned on the radio to listen to the weather report. “it looks like the hurricane is about to hit Florida so please get to a safe spot before it hits! My dad pulled over and we all got out of the car and ran into a little shop that was all boarded up, and had sandbags out in the front. Nobody was there! Once we got in the shop we sat down and waited for the storm to end.
The rain pounded for a while and the wind whirled around the shop for almost 7 hours! We had no where to go! After a while everything calmed down- we were in the eye of the storm! We all rushed outside and hopped in the car. I thought we were going to drive really far away but we kept heading to the beach. We stopped at a little shop that was called Water Flights. And we looked out and saw some of the kind of planes that take off on top of the water. All the sudden a pilot named Phil came up and asked if we needed a ride somewhere. My mom told him that we needed to get back to Kansas. So we paid for the tickets, put are bags into the back of the plane, took one last look at our hotel that would probably not be there after the storm, and left!!

Camping

This was going to be an amazing camping trip! I was stuffing all of my things into a duffel bag for the camping trip. My family was going camping with my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Hank, and my four cousins. The place where we were going was on my Uncle’s land that he owned a few hours away. We were going there because a few nights before there had been a nasty storm that hurled tons of rocks into a creek on there land. My uncle could not move them all by himself so he came back and asked my dad to come out there and help him move them. So instead of just my dad going out we all went out to make a camping trip out of it. That is what this story is going to be about!
We had all of the stuff in the trunk of the car. When I glimpsed back there, there were cans, jagged knifes for cutting food, dusty sleeping bags, water canteens, flashlights, duffel bags, and a large box that had our tent and pillows in it. We were all set to go! First, we had to meet my cousins at a McDonalds in Olathe. When we got to McDonalds I ordered a nice juicy double cheeseburger, some fries and a cool icy coke. While I was finishing my food, my cousins pulled up into the parking lot. My Uncle Hank hopped out of the car. He and my dad talked for a while, and then my Uncle gave my dad a walkie talkie so we could talk to him if we got lost. We were finally on the road again, all we had to do is drive for an hour or two and we would finally be there! I was bored to death in the car, and my little brother kept whining because the ride was so long! I almost could not take it anymore. But just a few minutes later we pulled into my uncle’s land.
When we got there I realized why we needed to come out and help my Uncle. The grass was gigantic! It probably went up to my knees in some parts. And I could see all the rocks in the creek; it had stopped the water like a dam. The first thing we did was start up a fire. After that I went exploring around a little bit. After a while I found a really old house behind a rusty old barn, a tractor, and some hay. Then I decided walk back up to the campfire to have smores. When I had a few gooey smores, and a pop, I decided it was about was time to go to bed. My dad, me, my brother Drew, and my cousin Stephanie, helped me set up the tents that we brought. When were done I climbed into my sleeping bag and tried to go to bed. I was so relieved to get into the nice warm tent, and fall asleep.
When I woke up the next morning I could smell bacon and sausage cooking over a fire. It smelled delicious! Everybody else seemed to wake up to the same smell because in only a few minutes everybody was eating the greasy sausage and bacon that my Uncle Hank had made. After I could not eat any more my dad said “its time to go and help move the rocks in the creek. Me and my brother put on our shoes and socks and darted down to the creek. When we got down there my Uncle was firing up the tractor, and my dad was putting on some gloves to protect his hands from the sharp rocks. My Uncle hopped out of the tractor and said to me and my brother, “put on these gloves and start moving these rocks out of the creek“. He then hopped back into the tractor and started moving the rocks of to the side. I scooped up rocks and tossed them to the side of the creek for almost thirty minutes. We were getting lot done, we were probably half way threw when all of the sudden I looked down and there was a massive hornet on my arm. Right as I looked down there was a pointy thing entering my skin. I howled with pain! It did not hurt that bad anymore but I still went up to the trailer to get some cream. My mom put a band aid on my arm and I raced back down to the creek. They had already finished when I came back down. The rest of the day was going to be relaxing
I was right about that! We were finished my uncle went to one of the old barns and pulled a board from the wall. When he did that a whole part of the wall was off and behind that was a yellow motorcycle! My uncle and dad walked into the small room and hauled out the motorcycle. They gunned up the engine and got ready to ride. I jumped on the back of the motorcycle with my dad. After everybody rode the motorcycle we went fishing and horse back riding. My dad pitched me some baseballs and we played catch. Once it was close to dinner time we drove into a small town about 30 miles away. My mom and dad pulled into a Pizza Hut. We ordered a few big pizzas for my family to eat before we made the trip back home. Right as we got are pizzas to eat are cousins pulled up to eat with us, and that was my camping trip
That is what happened on my camping trip with my cousins. That is how we solved the problem of all the rocks in the creek.

The End
